Doudy Draw
| In 2008, new loops were added to the trail system in Doudy Draw and on the eastern slopes of Eldorado Mountain. The area offers dry-grass valley and Ponderosa Pine mesa, wildflowers and wildlife, and scattered bits of pioneer history.
From the top of a climbing access trail off Goshawk Ridge Trail (see map below) there is a good view over the whole area (top photo at right). Doudy Draw is the shallow valley just beyond the trees to the east. The wooded ridge and lake beyond is Marshall Mesa.
From Goshawk Ridge Trail, looking west and up, are the Rabbit Ears in the upper left of the second photo and other cliffs and spires on the flanks of Eldorado Mt. (Note that an off-trail permit from Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks is required for use of this Habitat Conservation Area.)
